My goal for the year is to do at least one good quality, print worthy art piece each month. More would be awesome, but at least one a month is more than I've managed in the past. The main thing is that this means that I'll be working on full compositions that have backgrounds and everything. Something that my art has been lacking for a long time now because I'm lazy and lack confidence.
But this year I am working on that. I've already made some leaps and bounds in other areas (see next paragraph). For this month, the Cammy commission will be counted as my one piece. Although I have another one in the works that I may yet get finished before the end of the month. Depends on how well my other commissions progress in the meantime. Either way, I promise more art, just like I said in my previous journal!
One thing that I have been doing for a while now (35 days at this point) is that each day I have drawn a Chibi. This was started as a determination of "I'm going to stop sucking at drawing Chibis" but within the first few days I managed to find my style and I no longer felt that I was unable to draw them. I've continued the project, however, with more success on some days than others in regards to how well the Chibi turns out. I have plans for many of them, to be inked and colored and turned into stickers and possibly in the future even those acrylic charms that I love seeing from other artists. Already, though this new found love of drawing Chibis has even given me a new product that I can offer at conventions-- 3.5"x5" Chibi card commissions.
And yes, I do hope to start posting batches of these daily Chibi sketches (and probably the colored ones as well). Right now I've already got 35 of them done, so I'll probably go ahead and prep a few different batches to post all at once to get caught up and then post them as they are completed in the future.
All in all, I've been feeling a lot better about my work this year so far, and I really hope that it continues to progress. I hope to continue to grow as an artist and I hope that you will all continue to support and cheer me on as I do!

Chainmail jewelry uploads ahead
Actually, I've already started... But basically, I wanted to apologize that I'll be spamming you with some chainmail uploads for the next couple of days because I realized that I haven't posted any new jewelry images in several years. And it's still very much something that I do and enjoy. I'll try not to post a bunch of the same kind of things. My plan is to focus on more unique pieces-- necklaces and sets and also dicebags-- and images that show several examples of weaves that I can make that have not been represented here on my DA yet.
I do hope to get back into posting more regularly in regards to drawings as well, and I have a few fu
Been a bit...
I was doing very good there for a while this year of uploading a new piece each week. Usually whatever it is that I had made for that week's YouTube video. ((by the way, guys, I totally have a YouTube channel if you hadn't noticed yet! You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCULV3NS6lfAwZE__dJzeoeA ))
For some reason, though, I just fell out of the habit. I guess because I had gotten a little busy with other things... plus I have less constant access to a good scanner than I would like, so I got a little backlogged. While I can take decent enough pictures with my phone, I have a really hard time getting them to come out st

Wow... It's been over a year...
I've been working on keeping better track of my social media things, and having some success. On my Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/BardicKitty ) as well as my Patreon ( https://www.patreon.com/BardicKitty ) So I decided that it was time to make a reappearance here.
The question is, how should I make this reintroduction of myself...? I have a backlog of drawings that I could post, though it's been so long that I know I wouldn't be able to post everything. Or I could just start fresh and only post newly finished pieces. I know that I'll at least post my most recent run of Pokemon related ACEOs, b
'Allo, and welcome to March
Between tax stuff and prepping for my first few conventions of the year, February kind of got away from me, I'm afraid. Which is frustrating because it means that I have already broken my "new print each month" goal I had set for myself. It's almost done, though, and I hope to have it posted by tomorrow evening at the latest. And I'll still make sure to have another new one done before the end of March. Maybe even a couple, if I can sit myself down and work on them. I do have a few different pieces ready and waiting in the wings.
At any rate, there's just been so many other things going on, that I just haven't had much time for my art.
